Christina Aguilera and her husband, music executive Jordan Bratman, have split, according to Us Weekly. A source close to Aguilera tells the mag the couple “have been separated for a few months.”
A source close to the Bratman family has confirmed the split to PopEater.
Aguilera and Bratman met in 2002 and married in a lavish ceremony in 2005. The pair have not yet filed for divorce but “are now living apart, and they will see how that goes.”
“They were very much in love, but over the last six months, it became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife,” the source explains.
They remain united in their commitment to their son, Max, 2. “Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever,” the singer tells PEOPLE in a statement.
